
Gwen E. Buday received her law degree in 1989 from Wayne State University Law School. She earned her undergraduate degree, with honors, from Calvin College in 1986. Buday has co-taught a business law course at Grand Rapids Community College and guest lectured at Calvin College on the law as a career choice in the 1990s. Buday specializes in environmental coverage litigation, general commercial litigation and civil appeals work.
In addition to her practice and full-time duties as mother to four small children, Buday is actively involved in community service. She served on the Board of Directors of one of the nation’s largest Right to Life affiliates, Grand Rapids Right to Life, through 1995, and was Editor of its monthly newsletter for several years. She has also served on the Board of Directors of Solutions, a non-profit drug treatment center. Buday is a member of St. Thomas More Student Parish, where she is active in its church school and nursery programs.
